Welcome to the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) web site!

Our objective is to carry out a program of soil, water, and related natural resource conservation, by providing technical assistance and programs to residents, landowners, and units of government.

We are an authorized Oswego County agency and a political subdivision of New York State.  The SWCD was formed by an act of the Oswego County Legislature in October of 1945.

The office is located in a two-story tan farm house, just west of the Bristol Hill Landfill in the Town of Volney.
